Essential Health Screening Package

This is a basic health screening package that is usually sufficient for most young healthy adults.

1) Cardiovascular Risk Factors
The 3 Highs or as many older folks understand as ”三高” comprises High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure. These are important risk factors that if controlled early, reduces the risk of heart attacks, strokes, peripheral vascular disease and kidney disease significantly.

National screening guidelines for adults 40 years old and above include screening for obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

2) Full Kidney Function Tests
The kidney function test comprises electrolytes and creatinine, which is an important surrogate marker of kidney health.

We have also included an Urine Test (Urine FEME + Microalbumin:Creatinine Ratio). This test helps us to screen for blood and protein in the urine, which may be a marker of abnormalities related to the urinary structures or kidneys. It is recommended that individuals with Hypertension or Diabetes screen for albumin leakage as this may be the earliest marker of kidney damage, and something you may want to discuss with your doctor on regarding its treatment.

3) Full Liver Function Tests
The liver function test comprises markers that measure both blockage (Bilirubin, ALP, GGT) as well as inflammation (AST/ALT) in the liver. These are useful markers that help to screen for a range of liver diseases.
